Privacy Policy — Dtecty

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Konciv AS ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Dtecty mobile application ("the App"). Dtecty is a text and image safety checker that helps you identify malicious, harmful, or deceptive content.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 User-Submitted Content

When you use the App to analyze content, you choose what to submit. This may include:

• Text that you paste or type into the App for analysis

• Images that you upload or capture for analysis

We do not collect any data automatically. All data processed by the App is content you actively choose to submit.

2.2 What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data

• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking

• We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies

• We do not collect any data beyond what you actively submit for analysis

3. How Your Data Is Processed

When you submit text or images for analysis, your content is:

1. Sent to our servers hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in Europe

2. Processed by an AI model (Azure OpenAI Service) hosted within our own Azure environment to perform the safety analysis

3. Stored on our servers so you can access your analysis history

Important: Your content is processed within our Azure infrastructure. It is not shared with or sent to OpenAI or any other third-party AI provider. Microsoft Azure acts as our infrastructure provider (sub-processor) under a Data Processing Agreement that complies with GDPR requirements.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• Your submitted content and analysis results are stored on our servers indefinitely while your account is active, so you can review past analyses.

• If you make a request to delete content within the App, it is marked for deletion and permanently removed within 30 days.

• You may request deletion of all your data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.

Your data is only processed by the following service provider acting as a sub-processor under our instruction:

Sub-processor: Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI Service)

Purpose: Infrastructure hosting and AI model processing

Location: Europe (Azure data centres)

Microsoft processes your data solely on our behalf and under contractual obligations that meet GDPR requirements.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You provide this consent when you agree to this Privacy Policy and actively choose to submit content for analysis. You may withdraw your consent at any time by stopping use of the App and requesting deletion of your data.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data and obtain a copy

• Rectify inaccurate personal data

• Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten")

• Restrict the processing of your personal data

• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

• Object to processing of your personal data

• Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) at datatilsynet.no.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS)

• Data is stored on secured Microsoft Azure infrastructure

• Access to data is restricted to authorised personnel only

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data through the App, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
